A new AI model can provide you with an immediate answer. Here are some key facts: University of Michigan AI scientists collaborated with Mexico's National Institute for Astrophysics on this breakthrough AI model They took an AI translator designed to transcribe human speech and taught it to decode dog barks They fed it 200 minutes of 74 dogs barking in their homes The AI bark translations are 70% accurate It can identify the dog's breed, age and gender It can specify the meaning of barks - anger, fear, protectiveness, danger, playfulness, happiness, etc. Experts say this is the closest we've ever come to real-time communications with and understanding of our dogs The scientists hope it will help foster animal welfare T
