May Be Available for Purchase in 2024
Jeep has been hinting for years about developing an all electric Jeep Wrangler. Now it is closing in on finalizing a production ready, all electric Jeep Wrangler 4x4 for green off-roading. Jeep is in the process of designing, developing and finalizing the EV. There could be an electric motor at the front and back of the off-trail vehicle. And the likely range on a charge is at least 250 miles. One thing is for sure: the much anticipated off-roading, all electric Wrangler is in the pipeline and will likely be available for purchase in 2024.
Jeep's Recent Hybrid History
Jeep has introduced the Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid and the Wrangler Magneto EV concept. The fully electric Wrangler 4x4 is expected to have batteries in various locations, like the cargo area, under the hood and under the back seat. It is also likely that Electrify America charging stations will start sprouting up at head of the trail, off-roading locations nationally to support off-road electric driving.
Electric Enhancements
Some experts believe that electrification will enhance the Wrangler 4x4's performance. The instantaneous power from an electric motor is considered a key asset for precision, off-road maneuvers. Plus, when you're off-roading and enjoying nature, it's good to know that you're not polluting it. The likely price for the upcoming Jeep Wrangler 4x4 is in the $50,000 range. And the likely launch is 2024. Jeep is owned by the Chrysler Fiat PSA Group, Stellantis.
