Finally, A Real Flying Driving Car
From China - XPeng Road Drives & Can Take Off & Fly
New Travel Vehicle That is Launching
China's XPeng, an automotive company specializing in the development of electric vehicles along with HT Aero, an urban air mobility vehicle affiliate, is bringing a real driving/flying car to market in 2024 for the public to buy. As you can see in the images, the electric vehicle is a beauty and a classic looking car-combo-plane EV. This appears to be the promised flying car we have all been waiting for. It is zero emissions while driving on the road and flying in the sky. This is a world class example of the new Jetsons travel world to drive down the road and then fly above traffic jams. XPeng says we can buy it in 2024.
A Whole New Travel Experience
To fly, the EV uses two propellers on the sides that enable it to fly like a drone. The mechanical arms and the propellers retract and fold into the vehicle to let it drive. To fly, the arms with propellers reach out, spread out and take up a great deal of space. As a result, the EV needs enough space to safely takeoff, given the space needed for the propellers. This new information suggests that at this point, this flying car under development won't take off from your driveway. But, I want to emphasize this remarkable new piece of travel technology is still being developed. It may have new capabilities by 2024.
Investor Money
There have been 15,000 successful test flights of the vehicle. It can hit speeds of 128 km/h and carry 200 kg of weight. There is a parachute in case a problem should occur. Reports indicate that more than $500 million of investor money has poured in for production. XPeng believes that more than 15% of China will be driving flying cars by 2040. The sky is the limit for the rest of us.
