Aptera's 3-wheeled solar electric car is revolutionary travel technology. Aptera is designed for an average daily commute of 40 miles without any recharge. It can travel 40 miles a day on pure sunshine converted to electricity by its integrated solar panels. It charges as it drives. And if the travel distance is greater than 40 miles, a charge will add an additional 1,000 miles of range. That is the longest range delivered by any electric vehicle to date. Many Upgrades Are Being Incorporated
Aptera has been testing, tweaking and upgrading its Beta prototype vehicle to take it into production. The EV's 2.4 sq. meters of solar cell panels have been bullet proofed for harsh weather conditions like hail. They have also undergone testing for maximum efficiency. It is expected to use only 100 Wh of power per mile, which would make it the most efficient EV. Aptera Motors has also significantly upgraded the solar car's stability, maneuverability and turning radius. The solar EV is going into production. 13,000 of them have already been reserved by customers for a refundable $100. The company hopes to start producing Aptera at the level of 40 cars per day.
