Jetson One - A World First in Aviation

A Sweden based company - Jetson - has invented the world's first commercially available, eVTOL personal flying machine, Jetson One.  The EV is so hot that the company claims it's getting an order for Jetson One every 15 minutes.  Vehicles for 2022 are already sold out by buyers in the US and Europe.  It can be ordered for delivery in 2023 at a price of $70,000.  Jetson One is fully electric and can hit speeds of 63 mph.  It is lightweight and so highly maneuverable it can vertically takeoff and land from a garden or driveway.  Flight range is 20 minutes.

Tech Specs

Jetson One is made of aluminum and carbon fiber and weighs 190 pounds.  It has a race car inspired spaceframe, safety cell design. There are 8 electric motors that power the single-seat aircraft.  The battery is a high discharge lithium-ion battery.  Flight controls include a 3-axis joystick and throttle lever.  For safety, there are lidar sensors and a triple redundant flight computer system. There's also a ballistic parachute with rapid deployment, in the event of a problem.  The vehicle also has hands free hover and emergency functions.

Next Vehicles

Jetson was founded by Peter Ternstrom of Sweden and Tomasz Patan of Poland in 2017. Ternstrom says the ride in Jetson One is so smooth, there are no vibrations like that in a helicopter or plane. Ternstrom and Patan's accomplishments with Jetson One are world firsts for personal eVTOLs.  They say the purpose of their company is to open up the skies to everyone. They add flying Jetson One makes you feel like James Bond. They plan on having a 4- seat flying car, building from the Jetson One design, available for purchase by 2030.  To take a look at many flying concepts, go to https://read.amazon.com/kp/embed?asin=B093J89VF5&preview=newtab&linkCode=kpe&ref_=cm_sw_r_kb_dp_8B9HWH8ND1KEZ8F07GG5
