Engineered and Outfitted for Extreme Adventures
Ford has unveiled its new 2022 Bronco Everglades, which is designed for very serious off-roading, extreme adventures. The vehicle is engineered and outfitted to take the driver beyond the road less travelled that other off-roading drivers can't reach. This ultra-rugged new version of the Bronco can traverse more than 3 feet of water. It was unveiled this weekend at the Chicago Auto Show. It has some awesome new off-roading technologies.
Tech Specs
There are unique and significant off-road upgrades in the Everglades. There's a factory installed snorkel down the right rear passenger side that enables better performance in water, mud, swamp and dust by raising the engine's air intake above the nasty terrain conditions. There is also an integrated Zeon 10S 10,000-pound winch. It provides more traction when needed to help a disabled off-roading vehicle. Also included are protective Safari bars and a hardtop roof with cross bars. It's a 4-door SUV with Ford's Sasquatch package, including 17" wheels with 35" Goodyear mud terrain tires. And there's a 12-inch infotainment display in the middle of the dashboard.
$53,000 Worth of Outdoors Fun
The Everglade is powered by a 2.3-liter "EcoBoost inline-4" engine that generates 300 hp and 325 ft. lbs. of twist. The vehicle has a ten-speed automatic transmission. The price starts at $53,000. Ford will start taking orders in March 2022 with customer deliveries to start in the summer. It comes in five colors. The Everglades special edition sounds like it could redefine off-roading fun.
