Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept
Audi's Station Wagon Electrified
Audi has an exciting new addition to its electric car lineup. The Audi A6 Avant E-Tron concept is an electric, station wagon that is expected to go into production in 2024. It's a big surprise in the global automotive world where there have been very few, new, long-roof station wagons being developed in recent years. What is even more impressive is that the A6 Avant E-Tron is an all-electric model with interesting and innovative new technologies.
VW's EV Platform
The new EV will be built on VW's PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform that is the base of many new VW and Audi models. The A6 Avant E-Tron will have dual electric motors that will deliver 469 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque. The vehicle is powered by a 100-kWh battery. The 800-volt, 270 kW recharging capacity provides the vehicle with an extra 186 miles of range in ten minutes of recharging. The total range on one charge is 435 miles. This is a substantive EV that is 16.3 feet in length, 6.4 feet in width and 4.7 feet tall.
Highly Advanced Technologies
This new EV is loaded with highly innovative technologies. For instance, it has digital matrix LED and digital OLED lighting that can project symbols on the street to warn cyclists and pedestrians that the vehicle is moving. The lighting system can also function as a projector and throw a video game on a surface, like a wall, in front of the car when the car is in park. The passengers can play the video game from the car as it remains stationary. It also comes equipped with camera-based mirror wingtips. The Audi A6 Avant E-Tron is a look at a new style of electric driving that is arriving in the next 2 years.
