Your Next Ride
The flying car is not for commuting but for sheer fun rides like floating through the sky over a beach or forest. Under US aviation regulations, this type of aircraft is not permitted to fly near airports or over densely populated areas. It doesn't require a pilot's license. The flight computer system and the flight control system are so sophisticated, the company says, anyone can fly it with a five-minute briefing. The flight computer uses lidar to track the terrain and avoid any objects. The vehicle also has an automated landing system.
Next Steps for Jetson Aero
By 2030, the company expects to have developed a 4-seat flying car that would replace the traditional family car. They are also working with regulators in Europe and the US to help establish the regulatory framework and infrastructure needed to accommodate a new world of flying.
