Built With Rivian Electric Technology
Lincoln has released a teaser image of its first, all-electric concept vehicle that will officially be unveiled April 20, 2022, possibly at the New York Auto Show. The company says that the battery electric vehicle (BEV) will set the direction for its future lineup of electric vehicles. Lincoln is Ford's luxury car division. Interestingly, some of new EV startup Rivian's electric technology will be at the base of the vehicle. Ford has a 12% stake in Rivian.

The new EV concept, which has yet to be named, appears to be rather large and a crossover, which would provide the vehicle with more aerodynamics and longer range. Rivian's electric vehicle base, which is known as an electric skateboard, will form the EV's base. The car's battery will be encased on the floor of the vehicle.
Lincoln's SUV Direction
The new EV is a concept vehicle, but it appears to continue Lincoln's SUV-focused direction. From the teaser image and a few Lincoln sketches it has a slopping roof and an expansive interior. There are also some unique exterior lighting accents with illuminated Lincoln symbols on the fender and lighting accents on the body. Automotive experts expect the vehicle to contain a lot of technology from Ford's new portfolio of EVs, including from the Ford Mustang Mach-E. We'll get much more details in about a week. Meanwhile, Rivian will be delivering a new electric truck and electric SUV by the end of 2022. For more news stories like this, go to New Breakthrough Cars, Planes, Bikes, Boats
