Buick Electra Returns as Electric SUV
2024 Buick Electra - Historic Brand Electrified
Stunning New Electric SUV Concept
Buick is developing its first electric vehicle model. The 2024 Buick Electra resurrects and rejuvenates the historic Buick Electra brand with an electric powertrain and a crossover body. The new SUV concept has a stunning curved glass roof and very bold, standup butterfly doors. The 2024 Buick Electra is an awesome concept vehicle that experts believe GM is likely to put into production as it expands its electric vehicle lineup.
What To Expect
Buick hasn't provided details yet on the powertrain and range. But some automotive experts expect that it will be built on the GM Ultium platform, which GM is using for a number of its electric models. If so, Electra could share batteries, electric motors and structural parts with other GM vehicles like the Cadillac Lyriq. Additionally, there are reports that it is likely to contain two electric motors, all-wheel drive and have a range on a charge of 300 miles. The starting price is estimated at $50,000.
Automotive Historic Brand Meets the Electric Future
Buick used the nameplate Electra on an iconic, very large sedan model from 1959 to 1990. The company recently re-registered the brand for future use likely as the totally electrified and totally new Buick Electra SUV. For more stories like this, go to New Breakthrough Cars, Planes, Bikes, Boats
