Highly Advanced, Powerful and Stunning New EV
Swedish EV performance automaker Polestar is putting its electric, 2+2 convertible sports car concept, the Polestar 02, into production in 2026. To be called Polestar 6, the roadster is being put into production by Polestar because of the rave reviews and tremendous interest it has received from the public and the press, since it was first unveiled in Los Angeles in March 2022. For $25,000, the EV can be reserved for purchase. The sports car is totally electric and belts out a whopping 884 horsepower.
Tech Specs
The EV is built for looks, power and performance. The vehicle's smooth, sleek style is aerospace-inspired. It will use the advanced EV technology that Polestar is currently developing for its flagship luxury sedan, Polestar 5, that is expected to rollout in 2025. The Polestar 6 will have a retractable hardtop roof and a lot of power and performance with an 800-volt electric architecture that enables fast recharging. It has a dual, electric motor powertrain and can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.2 seconds.
Growing EV Lineup
Polestar is building out its electric vehicle lineup. Before Polestar 6 hits the market, Polestar 3, 4 and 5 - an SUV, coupe-like crossover and a luxury sedan respectively - will hit the market by the end of 2025. Polestar was founded as a Joint Venture between Volvo and Chinese automaker Geely. It is now publicly traded. Polestar is on track to deliver 50,000 vehicles in 2022 and hopes to sell 290,000 in 2025. No price has been set yet on the stunning new e-convertible Polestar 6.
