Mercedes Work of Art That Exists in Virtual Reality
This is one of German luxury car maker Mercedes Benz' most creative and imaginative concept cars. It's a car created in virtual reality which Mercedes calls its first "virtual show car". The car will be showcased in the upcoming "League of Legends" World Championships. With this concept, Mercedes has created a vehicle unlike anything it has ever imagined before as a concept or production car. It is truly an automotive work of art.
Flights of Imagination
The VR car is so conceptual that it has no name. One of the many stunning features about it are the wheels, which are huge, transparent and seem to be encased in a glass-like substance. The vehicle, which we assume is electric, has a bubble-shaped interior cabin for multiple passengers. The car's body is elegantly futuristic and there are integrated neon lights. Mercedes Benz Chief Design Officer Gordon Wagener says that the VR space eliminated all limits on what he and his design team could do. They were able to push past boundaries and creatively reach for the unexpected by combining imagination with real-world car design.
VR Car to Make Its Dramatic Debut
The vehicle is featured in the video for the League of Legends online games series Championship anthem song, and it will also be on the infotainment system of the Mercedes Benz EQS sedan and SUV. No word on if or when Mercedes might put this gorgeous piece of automotive design into production. By the way, this is not the world's first virtual show car.
