The new, 2023, all-electric, Mercedes EQS SUV is getting plenty of rave reviews. It is a 3-row, elegant and powerful Mercedes SUV built on the same electric platform as the EQS sedan. This new SUV is big, loaded with technologies and powered by nothing but electricity. Mercedes calls the EQS its next step toward "the next era of mobility". With its strategy "Ambition 2039", Mercedes aims to have a global fleet of green passenger vehicles in operation that are carbon neutral by 2039 and EVs like the new EQS SUV are a big part of that vision.

The new EV can accommodate 7 people in a luxurious interior that contains highly advanced technologies. A primary example is the MBUX Hyperscreen that spans the full width of the dashboard and provides expansive information and entertainment. The vehicle has powerful electric motors, responsive all-wheel drive and an intelligent OFFROAD driving mode. There is an adjustable air suspension system to crank up ground clearance up to 8&3/4 inches for off-roading. The EV comes in two models: the 450+ which has a rear mounted electric motor that drives the rear wheels with 355 hp and 419 lb-ft of torque. The 580 has front and rear electric motors that pump out 536 hp to all 4 wheels. The 108.4 kWh battery provides 285 to 305 miles of range on a charge, depending on the model. The EV can be purchased for $105,550 to $133,350. It is an EV designed to provide powerful and luxurious highway and off-road driving.
