Biggest Range on a Charge on the Market

California luxury EV maker Lucid has just unveiled its 2024 all-electric Gravity SUV that has, what Lucid is calling, "supercar levels of performance".  This is Lucid's second EV and its first electric SUV.  It will be delivered to customers in 2024 and goes into production in 2023.  Lucid is promising spectacular range and performance from this cutting edge, electrified vehicle.  It is designed to compete directly against other luxury EVs such as Tesla Model X and BMW iX.  Lucid says Gravity promises to be as quick as a supercar and spacious like an SUV.

Tech Specs That We Know

Lucid claims Gravity will have "more range than any other EV" on the market. That suggests that Gravity's range will exceed 516 miles on a charge, which is what the Lucid Air Grand Touring sedan is built to deliver. The electric EV is expected to have a 118-kWh extended range battery. Adding an additional 200 miles of range should take a recharge time of about 15 minutes. Its "supercar level of performance" is expected to deliver more than 1100 hp of powerful performance.  More specifics on the electric powertrain and essentials like pricing will be announced by Lucid as Gravity gets closer to production.

Salient Details

Gravity is a large, sleek SUV with three rows of seats.  It is Lucid's largest vehicle yet.  It can carry up to 7 people and the seating is configurable, including a collapsible third row of seats.  There is a huge, panoramic glass roof, stretching from the dashboard to the 3rd row, making the vehicle feel even more spacious than it actually is.  The front dashboard contains Lucid's organically curved Glass Cockpit high resolution screens with the Lucid UX software interface.  There are also Apple CarPlay and Sirius XM streaming.  The EV can be reserved for purchase in 2023.  It has all the makings of one of the most exciting electric vehicles coming to the global marketplace.  For more news stories like this, New Vehicles Illustrated
