eVTOL PROSPERITY 1 SETS NEW WORLD RECORD

  • Shanghai-based eVTOL, flying taxi startup AutoFlight, just set a new world record for the longest distance flown by an eVTOL or electric, vertical takeoff and landing vehicle
  • Prosperity 1's record setting flight took place over AutoFlight's facility in Germany and lasted 155 miles on a charge
  • The previous record was set by Joby Aviation in 2021 for 248 km or 154 miles
  • Prosperity 1 can carry a pilot and 4 passengers
  • Its range is in excess of 155 miles and it can hit speeds up to 124 mph
  • Prosperity has rotors on its wings and tail
  • It uses rotors to lift itself vertically for takeoff and then transitions to horizontal flight with its wings
  • The company hopes to be awarded certification to fly in Europe by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) by 2025
  • AutoFlight is an air taxi company to watch as it works toward its next milestone.

  • Apple launched its iPhone 14 series last fall but reports are circulating in the business press that Apple is going to unveil some brand new additions to the 1Phone 14 product line within the next few days
  • Experts, who track Apple, say it is likely to be a new phone color - yellow - for the iPhone 14
  • There are other informed reports that two new leather cases are coming in deep violent and golden brown
  • If these reports prove to be correct, Apple experts say that it is very likely that new iPhone 14 products will follow shortly
  • Another high likelihood:  the unveiling of very cool and colorful new Apple Watch bands.

BMW'S NEW E-SCOOTER WITH MATCHING SURFBOARD

  • BMW Motorcyles has partnered with Vagabund Moto to create a very cool, e-scooter concept, the BMW CE 04 Vagabund Moto, with a matching, attached surfboard
  • The vehicle is designed for those with a sporty lifestyle
  • It has attitude with a smiley face on the front and a rack to hold the small, matching surfboard, which BMW says is "a metaphor for a sustainable lifestyle"
  • The scooter's electric motor is attached to an 8.9 kWh battery pack that produces 42 hp
  • Top speed of the e-scooter is 75 mph
  • Goes from 0 to 31 mph in 2.6 seconds
  • Range is 80 miles on a charge
  • 80% of recharge done in an hour
  • No date when BMW will put this trendy e-scooter into production
  • Current pricing for a regular CE 04 without a surfboard & other concept upgrades is $11,795.
