APPLE'S HIGHLY INNOVATIVE AR/VR HEADSET
- Apple is poised to unveil its much-anticipated AR/VR mixed reality headset at the WWDC 2023 (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June
- The Apple headset will look like a typical VR headset but it is anything but typical with 12 exterior cameras, sensors, lidar and 2, 8K displays in front of your eyes to provide breakthrough functionality
- With its next-g display technology, the Apple headset is primarily designed for communications, content viewing and gaming
- In a recent interview Apple CEO Tim Cook said AR (augmented reality) can greatly enhance people's "communications & connections"; Cook is a big believer in AR's potential
- Along with the headset unveiling, Apple will also showcase its xrOS operating system & unveil a software kit & platform for developers to write new types of apps
- The AR/VR headset is a precursor to Apple Glass - eye glass lenses that will offer "optical see-through AR experiences"
- The headset will be able to project information and images & will compete directly with products like Meta Quest 2
- There is said to be debate within Apple about the headset price - $3,000 - and its weight but it appears CEO Cook is ready to unveil it in early June.

INNOVATIVE SPACE, CC, METEOR STARTUP - ALE
- A Japanese startup is about to launch the world's 1st man-made meteor showers with satellites that it's sending into space
- Tokyo-based ALE will provide some of the best light shows of the centuries first over the UK but there are many scientific research benefits behind this
- The meteor shows, called Sky Canvas, are designed to collect scientific data on the 3rd layer of the atmosphere, the Mesosphere, that's too low to be tracked by satellites & too high for planes & balloons
- That data on wind speed & atmospheric conditions should help to greatly advance weather models & climate change data
- Here's what is involved: ALE will use granular metal particles launched from small satellites
- The "shooting stars" will reach 400 km above the Earth, launch, travel 1/3rd around the planet & then burn out at 80 km
- ALE continues to develop this tech for launch in 2025, first over the UK and elsewhere around the world with multicolored effects
- Hopefully, these will be a beautiful, multicolored meteor showers with tremendous atmospheric research results, concerning the weather & Climate Change.
