  • A group of 40 top international scientists are warning that 7 out of 8 safety limits, that are safeguards for a safe & just life on Earth called Earth System Boundaries (ESBs), have been breached & exceeded by humans
  • This, according to distinguished scientists who just published their report in the journal Nature stating that the health of the Earth is troublesome and not good
  • Thresholds breached include climate change, biodiversity, land-system change and biogeochemical flows (nitrogen & phosphorus imbalances)
  • They analyzed climate, biodiversity, freshwater and different types of pollution in the air, water & soil
  • The scientists are warning that humans are pushing the Earth toward irreversible destabilization
  • Only the category of aerosol pollution has not been breached
  • Tens of millions of people are already being impacted just by Climate Change
  • The scientists work as part of the Earth Commission
  • They say every ESB needs to be addressed to ensure human well-being.

  • At its 600 + warehouse retail store locations in the US, Sam's Club has deployed very smart AI enabled robots called Roberta as multitasking workers
  • The robots, using their computer vision algorithm, check to make sure that every store display is perfect, monitor all stock to confirm it's at the right level, spot & alert staff to any potential problems or if anything is out of order &, yes, even clean the floors
  • Sam's Club is using AI, robotics and algorithms to run its stores with much greater, real-time efficiency
  • Case in point:  the algorithms are so precise they can forecast demand for specific products in real-time, like on an hourly basis for Rotisserie chickens at a local Sam's Club during a nearby Taylor Swift concert or sporting event
  • The company wants to create a comprehensive AI system for forecasting & stocking decisions -- a sort of AI membrane systemwide across all of its warehouse club stores.
