MIT'S FAST-THINKING AI FOR VERY SMART ROBOTS

                                                            Source:  Stock Home Robots

  • MIT researchers have created a new AI system for household robots that makes them smarter & faster by enhancing their capabilities to plan & problem solve by 80%
  • Called PIGINet, the AI quickens the robot's reaction time and decision-making on how to respond to owners' orders in the fast-paced dynamics of a family household
  • Until now, household robots have relied on a pre-determined set of actions and, as a result, are seldom quick
  • PIGINet stands for "Plans, Images, Goals, Initial Facts"
  • The neural network assimilates the facts and then helps to quickly determine the robot's responses to requests from the household
  • The roboticists feel this is especially helpful when robots are performing complex tasks like working in the kitchen & it puts the robot more in sync and in real-time with humans.

  • UK-based electric aircraft maker ZeroAvia Aviation is promising commercial, hydrogen electric, zero carbon emissions flights within 2 years or by 2025
  • Key facts on this rapidly emerging, Climate-friendly aviation technology:
  1. 2 propellers powered by electric engine with the electricity generated by onboard hydrogen fuel cell
  2. Only the new engine needs to be cleared by British Aviation Authorities because they are not creating a new plane
  3. Retrofitting the new electric engine system into a conventional Dornier 228 plane with 19 seats and 2 propellers
  4. Range:  250 to 310 miles
  5. Will carry 12 passengers
  6. Company already has 1,500 orders for their electric engine, including a very recent 250 engine order from CA based Air Cahana
  7. 9 successful test flights have been completed
  • By 2027, company will have a new plane capable of carrying 50 people with a range of 620 miles
  • ZeroAvia is being touted as the start of the decarbonization of aviation as the only emissions from their aircraft are water.

  • 4 years after it was announced and 2 years behind schedule, the first Tesla Cybertruck just rolled off the production line in Austin, Texas
  • Production is now expected to ramp up and deliveries to 1.9 million customers that pre-ordered the Cybertruck will happen later this year
  • This was the 1st look at a finished Tesla with its stark, angular style
  • As of the moment, we still don't know the price other than it will be higher than the original pricing of $39,900 to start for a single engine, $49,900 for a dual-motor, $69,900 for a tri-motor and a $7,000 option for self-driving
  • Cybertruck is one of the hottest vehicles in automotive history and Tesla CEO Elon Musk says it will not disappoint
  • Musk expects to produce 250,000 Cybertrucks per year.
