KIDS TOY RACE CAR COMES TO LIFE AS REAL CAR

UK's Little Car Company has brought to life an adult version of a kids' classic: a tiny, toy race car called Tamiya Wild One RC from the 1980's and developed it into a real vehicle
Called the Wild One Max, it's an electric dune buggy quadricycle, that can be driven off-road and on highways as well
It will make its debut this week at the UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed
Max EV can sit 2 and has the original build-it-yourself toy's red roll cage and colorful race car styling

UNDERGROUND CLIMATE CHANGE IN NYC & CHICAGO

Research scientists at Northwestern University are warning about the silent threat posed by "underground Climate Change" to major cities like Chicago and New York
Rising temperatures underground are literally weakening major US cities and causing buildings to shift
Heat coming from sewers, tunnels and basements are increasing the rising temperatures
New York City and Chicago, for instance, are said to be sinking under the weight of skyscrapers
In their breakthrough research, the Northwestern scientists focused on Chicago's business district & deployed 150 temperature sensors in underground locations around the Loop
Sensor data and computer simulations demonstrated that rising heat is causing the ground to deform which will ultimately cause infrastructure to crack
The temps were as high as 97-degrees F and the high temperatures cause the ground to expand, contract and swell - all of which cause buildings to sink
The findings suggest vigilance on the part of cities, building and infrastructure inspectors and other authorities to spot and address any problems early
The research revealed a hidden, silent threat from underground Climate Change which is a new wake-up call for all of us to be aware of.
