- Sapphire goes into production in September with deliveries shortly thereafter.
GOOGLE PHOTO UPGRADE: AI PICKS YOUR PHOTO MEMORIES
- Google Photos has a big update where generative AI will choose your photo memories
- Here's what we know:
- The Google Photos app is used by more than one billion people to store photos and videos
- Google is adding a new Memories tab to the Photos app dedicated to your special Memories collection of pictures
- Google's generative AI upgrade focuses on Memories and AI titling lets you name each memory photo collection
- To get you started, AI will choose a group of images important to you
- Images might include your vacations, birthday parties or pictures of your pets
- Memory photos will have their own tab on Google Photos
- You'll be able to open a tab that will allow you to house memory photos
- Using AI you'll be able to collaborate and share your photos with others
- You'll be able to save your best collections, invite others to add pictures and add/delete photos
- This new AI feature is rolling out in the US today and globally over the next few weeks
- Next step: Google Photos to create videos for you to share.
JETZERO'S BLENDED WING PLANE GETS BIG FUNDING
- The US Air Force has awarded CA-based JetZero $235 million to further develop its blended wing body (BWB) aircraft
- The jet is being developed for the USAF but it also has potential as a commercial passenger jet
- Here's what we know:
- It's a radical new plane design with significant advantages like
- 50% more fuel efficiency
- Major step toward zero emissions flying
- Engines are seated on top of the plane making less noise as the noise is directed upwards
- For a commercial jet, much more room and comfortable space for passengers
- For USAF, significant way to cut fuel costs
- New revolutionary aircraft to watch -- JetZero has a 200-passenger BWB proof of concept jet it unveiled earlier this year.
- Will use sustainable aviation fuel and eventually hydrogen fuel
- Prototype will be completed by 2027 and the company hopes to have its jet in service by 2030.
