MEDICINAL BENEFITS OF BEER
Source: Stock
- New research by scientists at Dalian Medical University in China has determined that drinking beer has significant medicinal value
- Here's what we know:
- Beer promotes good stomach health by creating "good" bacteria in the gut
- Fiber and other ingredients in beer "supercharge" the immune system
- The scientists found beer to be rich in many essential amino acids, vitamins, trace elements and bioactive substances that "help regulate many human physiological functions"
- Beer was found to be more beneficial to the gut than probiotics in yogurt and cheese
- The scientists think it may also prevent heart disease, arteriosclerosis and improve blood circulation
- Key to reaping the medicinal value of beer: drink it in moderation
- The Chinese scientists found that consuming beer in moderation is better for your health than abstaining from it
- This new research study was just published in Frontiers in Nutrition.
THE FUTURE OF ALFA ROMEO: THE 33 STARDALE
Source: Alfa Romeo
- Alfa Romeo has revealed the 33 Stardale, one of a very few cars being offered with gas or electric drivetrains
- Here's what we know:
- It's a revived Alfa Romeo, 2-seat model
- Gas version weighs about 3300 lbs
- EV weighs over 4600 lbs
- Both the gas & electric versions perform about the same
- Right now, it's a limited edition with only 33 cars in production
- EV range is estimated to be 280 miles
- EV accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds
- Gas version goes from 0 to 62 mph in less than 3 seconds with top speed of 206 mph
- Comes with butterfly doors
- Made to drive on the track and on the road
- Price unknown but we can presume high
- It's thought to preview Alfa Romeo's future.
INTERGALACTIC THRILLER - MATTER FROM DEEP SPACE
- Harvard University renowned astrophysicist Avi Loeb appears to have discovered in the waters off Papua, New Guinea mineral material from literally out-of-this-world and from an entirely different solar system, which may be a history making find
- Here's what we know:
- Prof. Loeb organized a state-of-the-art tech expedition to search for a unique, super-high-speed meteor tracked by US government satellites from deep space that careened toward Earth and crashed into the waters off New Guinea in 2014
- Several months ago, Loeb's extraordinary ocean expedition recovered beads of minerals, 57 in all, in the ocean floor, some of whose chemistry doesn't exist on Earth
- Loeb believes the tiny mineral objects are from a large interstellar object that travelled light years to finally crash into the Pacific Ocean
- Loeb is the founder of the Galileo Project, whose mission is to find traces here on Earth of alien technologies
- The objects found by Loeb's team are composed of metals -beryllium, lanthanum & uranium in a ratio never seen before
- Key question raised by Loeb's findings: is this the remains of a meteor or alien space technology?
- Loeb's findings point to the large amount of uranium found to suggest the possibility it is remnants of alien technology perhaps a space vehicle
- Loeb's findings are now being scientifically reviewed by his top peers.
- It's an intergalactic thriller for mankind as we all wonder: Is there life beyond us in space?
