- This is a critical model in Lexus transitioning to EVs

- RZ EV range is estimated at 220 miles
- Has a lithium-ion battery with a 10-hour charging time
- Operates on the e-TNGA platform which has been criticized but improved with greater interior space and more power
- The RV EV can do 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds
- With a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the RZ EV is loaded with high tech
- This new electric SUV will give Lexus a unique space in the electric SUV segment.
WORLD'S LONGEST EV RANGE - 1600 MILES
- A group of German university students have designed the longest range on a charge EV in the world at 1600 miles
- Here's what we know:
- Single-seat EV just won the Guiness Book of World Records for the longest range on a charge of 1600 miles
- Called muc022
- Created by students at the Technical University of Munich
- Beat the previous record by 600 miles
- Astounding achievement by students, far surpassing any EV or EV concept created by Mercedes, BMW, GM or any other automaker
- muc22 went 1600 miles non-stop for 99 hours
- EV weighs 374 pounds
- Has permanent-magnet synchronous motor that produces 400 watts
- This is the second world EV record in a week achieved by university students
- Swiss students created an EV that accelerated from 0 to 62 mph in under a second, which also set a Guiness Book of Records win.
MAY BE WORLD'S CUTEST SECURITY ROBOT
- Swiss startup Ascento just debuted its unique, autonomous security robot
- Here are the facts:
- Ascento Guard is an autonomous, outdoor security robot with unique capabilities
- It has wheeled "legs" that enable precise movements over any type of terrain
- Targeted to fill the acute shortage of security guards
- Designed to patrol large outdoor properties
- Autonomous with programmable patrol schedule
- Monitors for break-ins, fires, intruders
- Alerts human security guards on site by its app if it detects a threat
- Surveys its coverage area with thermal and infrared cameras
- Its video cameras monitor parking lots
- Patrols at speeds up to 2.8 mph
- Onboard speakers and mikes for 2-way encrypted conversations
- Works in all types of weather conditions
- Also very cute with round eyes and flashing eyebrows
- Ascento Guards are already on duty at warehouses, data centers, pharma companies and more
- For investors, the security robot sector is important to watch because of the human worker shortage and the need to fill growing numbers of jobs.
