TOYOTA'S MOON ELECTRIC SUV

  • Toyota unveiled a fascinating electric SUV that could be what the future will look like.  Here's what we know:
  1. It's called the Baby Lunar-Cruiser
  2. Far more advanced than Moon Buggies of the past
  3. It's an electric 4x4 that goes way off-road, in fact it's off-world for travelling the Moon
  4. Features airless tires
  5. Dashboard powered by Augmented Reality 
  6. Panoramic views
  7. Designed for astronauts to get around the Moon
  8. Its cameras and sensors detect irregular terrain
  9. Could be of great value to NASA which plans to set-up a Moon base by the 2030's via its Artemis program
  10. Controlled by joysticks, the self-driving SUV can travel up to 6200 miles on a charge
  11. Front grille houses cameras, radar and lidar sensors
  12. Also in the works, a 6-wheel lunar vehicle to help people live on the Moon or Mars by 2040
  13. The 6-wheel RV will fit 2 people for 14 days permitting them to live and work
  14. Developed by Toyota and JAXA (Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency), the revolutionary technologies in these vehicles could end up in future Toyota vehicles for consumers.


SUBARU'S NEW SPORTS CAR CONCEPT

  • Subaru will unveil a "wild" new sports car concept at the Japan Mobility Show starting on October 25th.  Here's what we know:
  1. Suburu plans 8 new EVs for the US market by 2028 including a hot new sports car concept that will debut later this month
  2. Called Subaru Sport Mobility concept
  3. Teaser image shows 2-door coupe
  4. This vehicle is expected to set the standard for sporty, new Suburu vehicles
  5. Expected to be a "wild" concept
  6. Will join the STl E-RA sports car concept with 4 motors and 1,079 hp as Subaru's top new sports car concepts
  7. Spec details on the new concept will be announced at its debut.

NEW SCIENCE: CHEW TOYS IMPROVE DOG'S MEMORY

  • New science demonstrates if your dog is having a rough time, throw them a bone.  It has multiple benefits.  Here's what we know:
  1. Scientists at Auburn University have researched the effects of giving  anxious dogs chew toys 
  2. They found it improved their cognitive process, allowed them to focus and decreased their stress, psychological arousal, cortisol level and anxiety
  3. The chew toy remedy proved to be especially effective on highly fearful and anxious dogs
  4. Chew toys were also found to increase all dogs' long-term memory
  5. Dozens of Labrador retrievers participated in this research program, which underscores the benefits of a simple chew toy for your dog.
