- Dutch company Squad Mobility's Solar City micro-EV is set to debut in 2025. Here's what we know:
- Designed for urban commuting
- Range of 19 miles on a sunny day
- Can reach speeds of 25 mph
- Can accommodate 4 batteries that extend range to 62 miles
- Offers 2 or 4-seat models
- Has rearview cameras and parking sensors
- Digital dashboard and GPS navigation
- Cost anticipated to be approximately $6,250. plus tax
- Squad Mobility has announced its solar powered EV is now available to be pre-ordered in the US prior to its 2025 debut.
UK'S NEW SUPERSIZED EVTOL SKYBUS

- UK's Lyte Aviation is developing a huge eVTOL capable of carrying 40 passengers for regional flights. Here's what we know:
- The aircraft under development is an eVTOL - electric, vertical takeoff and landing vehicle
- Called the LA-44 Skybus
- Range - 625 miles
- Maximum speed - 185 mph
- Lyte says the Skybus is 5-times more efficient than current helicopters with ten-times less carbon output
- Designed to be faster and much more sustainable than buses, trains and other modes of travel
- First prototype will deploy in 2025
- This supersized "flying taxi" has a hybrid powertrain; electric component is powered by hydrogen fuel cells and the second is composed of 4 turbine engines powered by jet fuel
- Sustainable aviation with multiple tilting propellers and wings
- Lyte is partnering with the Netherlands' Twente Airport to develop regional passenger routes for LA-44 out of London, Paris and Munich.
