  • A Microsoft Car!  It's a fascinating idea and AI has generated a compelling concept that could become a reality. AI, deployed by UK-based car leasing company Leasing Options, has created a very stylish and compelling Microsoft Car. It's an intriguing look at the possible future of a car by the tech giant. Here are some key facts:
  • The EV is a stunning aerodynamic sedan
  • Microsoft's logo colors light up the front and the Microsoft logo is on the roof
  • The car has no mirrors; it uses cameras
  • Microsoft has not said that it plans to build a car
  • It's currently focused on the "Cloud" and enterprise solutions
  • Microsoft does have a connected vehicle platform
  • It offers Azure to power services for Cloud-based car engines
  • The AI design is stunning but Microsoft has made no comment
  • Meanwhile, Apple continues to work on its Apple Car, an EV that Apple insiders say will emerge in 2028.\
  • Big question:  if Apple unveils the Apple Car why wouldn't Microsoft want to do the same, since AI, software & technology advancements are increasingly powering cars?
  • Stay tuned to see if a Microsoft Car becomes a reality!

MY ROBODOG LETS ITSELF OUT WITH ITS LEG

  • Typically, a robotic dog needs a robotic arm to open doors and pick up things.  Not anymore.  Here's what we know:
  • Key breakthrough:  machine learning model worked out how to keep robots stable on 3 legs while using one leg to open doors
  • Upshots:
  1. Reduces robot weight load by eliminating need for arms
  2. Leg can press buttons, lift bags and open doors
  3. Without arms, robot can fit into smaller places
  4. Could also be used in space exploration
  • Not as dexterous as robots with arms
  • But this ETH Zurich, Switzerland created robot dog will have many uses where less weight and less size are critical
  • This paves the way for your robodog to be not only your best friend but also your butler to carry your bags, press buttons and open the door.
