CLIMATE CHANGE POSES BIG ANIMAL EXTINCTION RISKS

• A new study by Oxford University scientists shows that Climate Change could drive mass species extinctions; it's a significant threat to biodiversity and certain species are at the highest risk.  Here are some key facts:
• Massive amounts of data, including hundreds of thousands of animal fossil records, were analyzed by the scientists to identify traits linked to extinction
• Based on the data, they've identified current, at-risk species, being pushed to the brink by Climate Change, to prioritize conservation efforts for them
• The at-risk species include monkeys, polar bears, elephants, penguins, butterflies and many more
• Most at-risk animals live in polar and equatorial areas, subject to climate extremes
• Species living in areas of 7-degree +C temperature changes are most vulnerable to extinction
• Smaller animals are the most vulnerable but at-risk animals include large creatures like polar bears and elephants 
• Bottom line:  Climate Change is putting some species at risk of mass extinction and conservation efforts are needed to start now.

• Pop hits, bass heavy tracks, heavy metal?  What does your musical interests tell people about you?  Multiple scientific studies have looked into personality traits associated with different musical genres.  Here are the findings:
• Empathetic people like softer music like R&B
• People who like bass heavy music can be psychotic
• Agreeable people are most likely to favor chart-topping music
• Those who enjoy heavy metal are no more likely to be violent themselves but just enjoy the music
• In general, people gravitate to musicians and music that are similar to themselves
• Examples:  David Bowie fans tend to be slightly eccentric and Ozzy Osbourne fans tend to be slightly obnoxious
• My thought:  just enjoy and chill with your favorite music, whether Bach, Vivaldi, Taylor Swift or whoever is your expression of yourself.
