  • Let's say you love Star Wars movies or a great Western with John Wayne.  Does that reveal your personality traits?  New scientific research says it does.  Here's what we know:
  • Multiple new scientific studies, including from the University of Lleida in Spain, show how a person's taste in movies reflects their personality
  • If you like adventure movies like John Wayne's classic Westerns, it reveals that you're open, adventurous and very conscientious
  • If you like horror movies, the research demonstrates you're not a psycho, but you are an extrovert
  • If you like comedies, you have a personality loaded with energy
  • If you like romantic comedies, you're a believer in true love
  • And if you like sci-fi like Star Wars, the research finds you to be more open, creative and adventuresome
  • And if you prefer cartoons, who knows!

  • China-based automaker BYD is disrupting the global automotive industry with its EVs, that are low-priced and loaded with technology.  Now it has unveiled an ultra, electric supercar. BYD has Elon Musk nervous.  Here are some key facts:
  • BYD sold more electric vehicles than Tesla in Q4 2023, dethroning the global EV giant
  • BYD is known for stylish, inexpensive, technology-rich EVs
  • Some like Dolphin sell in foreign markets for less than $14,000
  • Its new supercar called YangWang is an aerodynamic work of art
  • It can hit top speeds of 192 mph, has a range of 289 miles and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds
  • It's all-electric, zero-emissions and is priced at $230,000 to compete at the top-echelon of luxury supercars
  • Tesla CEO Elon Musk is concerned that if and when BYD gets into the US market, it could "pretty much demolish most other companies" in the auto industry because its EVs are so competitive, unless they get hit with high tariff barriers.
