  • In the UK, a new study has found that at least 120 million tasks across the government could be automated at a savings of hundreds of thousands of hours of manual work by humans.  Here's what we know:
  1. AI could take over more than 8 out of 10 repetitive jobs
  2. Every minute AI helped cut per transaction would save hours of manual work by humans
  3. Tasks range from processing passports to registering voters
  4. AI could free-up officials from wasting time on bureaucratic issues to allowing them to actually deal with the public
  • The Alan Turing Institute did the research
  • Turing Institute of Britain concludes that the potential exists for AI to help government become more responsive, efficient and fair.
