AI ROBOTS COULD TAKE OVER 80% OF UK GOVERNMENT CIVIL SERVICE JOBS
- In the UK, a new study has found that at least 120 million tasks across the government could be automated at a savings of hundreds of thousands of hours of manual work by humans. Here's what we know:
- AI could take over more than 8 out of 10 repetitive jobs
- Every minute AI helped cut per transaction would save hours of manual work by humans
- Tasks range from processing passports to registering voters
- AI could free-up officials from wasting time on bureaucratic issues to allowing them to actually deal with the public
- The Alan Turing Institute did the research
- Turing Institute of Britain concludes that the potential exists for AI to help government become more responsive, efficient and fair.
BMW'S FUTURE-FORWARD SUV
- German automaker BMW just unveiled a look at its electric future with the Vision Neue Klasse X. BMW calls the concept a Sport Activity Vehicle (SAV). Here's what we know:
- Fully electric SAV that will go into production this year
- This vehicle and upcoming "Neue Klasse" vehicles will have 30% more range, 30% faster charging and 25% improvement in efficiency
- It also will feature the next-G of BMW's iDrive which enhances the driver's digital experience
- BMW says this Neue Klasse series will contain 4 new superbrain technologies:
- High performance computers that work together
- Automated driving
- 4 key control units in a single computer
- Computer integrates the powertrain with driving dynamics
- All of these new technologies are designed to deliver a smarter, high performance and highly efficient EV.
