ALEXA IS GETTING A LOT SMARTER
- Amazon is giving its smart assistant Alexa a big intelligence boost with upgraded AI. Here's what we know:
- Alexa is being upgraded with powerful generative AI capabilities
- She'll be able to respond faster and in a very conversational way to complicated questions and requests
- Inside Amazon, it's being called "Remarkable Alexa"
- This will be the 1st major upgrade since Alexa was introduced in 2014
- Targeted for release later this year
- Will require a $5 monthly fee to access the enhanced AI capabilities
- Considered a major move by Amazon to compete against generative AI capabilities of Google, Microsoft and OpenAI
- Also, it's a major move to make Alexa profitable for the first time.

- University of Colorado, Boulder scientists indicate that turning to junk food when we're anxious makes matters worse. Here's what we know:
- Experiments on animals found that fatty foods disrupt gut bacteria
- Fatty foods alter behavior and influence brain chemicals to fuel anxiety
- Little did I know that the junk food that I thought was giving me solace during anxious moments was actually making me more nervous
- Next time I get the jitters, instead of reaching for some goodies, I'll go for a run.
