  Apple EV Launch Targeted for 2025                                             Source:  Artist Renderings Expectations Rising About Apple's Autonomous EV Apple's share price rose 3% yesterday November 18, 2021 to a record high on numerous news reports that it will launch an autonomous electric vehicle in 2025.  The iPhone maker appears to be accelerating the development of its autonomous EV.  The codename for the EV is Project Titan and development of the Apple car has been underway since 2014.  An Apple software executive Kevin Lynch recently was put in charge of the project.  He apparently convinced CEO Tim Cook to create an autonomous EV.  Apple is the world's most valuable company and it is now hitting milestones and closing in on critical mass to roll-out the Apple car.   VW Hopes To Surpass Tesla By 2025                                             Source:  VW ID.4 EV 70 Brand New VW EV Models To Roll Out During 2020's Volkswagen leadership has a grand plan to be the #1 leader in the global electric vehicle market by 2025.  To achieve that goal and displace Tesla, VW says it must more than double its EV sales this year.  It also needs to employ 10,000 software developers which would make VW the second largest European software company behind SAP.  And, the company says it will build six new battery factories in Europe.   Unprecedented Amount of New Energy Innovation                             Source:  SAIC-GM MINI EV, SAIC (lower) Hydrogen, Electric, Hybrid Vehicles China's biggest automaker SAIC Motors plans to introduce an unprecedented 100 new energy models with its partners by 2025.  The new energy vehicles include hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles.  The hydrogen and battery electric will have zero emissions.  60 of the new energy models will be SAIC's own brands.  10 will be hydrogen and 20 plug-in hybrid models.   Beijing International Auto Show The announcement was made by SAIC President Wang Xiaoqui while the Beijing International Auto Show is underway. BMW's Electric Future: Expanding EV Lineup Source:  BMW iX3 Rapidly Expanding Production For BMW, the future of mobility is electric and the future is now.  The global automotive leader has big electric plans.  Right now, it has 12 electric vehicle models, including the new BMW 330e, the BMW X5xDrive45e, the BMW X3xDrive30e - all plug-in hybrids, along with the all-electric Mini Cooper SE.  In 2020, they'll be joined by the all-electric BMWiX3 and the BMWX1 plug-in hybrid. By 2030, 50% of BMWs Sold Will Be Electric Vehicles BMW plans on having 25 electric models by 20023, more than half of which will be all electric.  By 2021, the company estimates 25% of all BMWs sold in Europe will be electric, 33% by 2025 and 50% by 2030.
