Citroen's Vision of the Perfect Beach Buggy
Electric Beach Buggy From France Super Citroen My Ami Buggy French automaker Citroen has unveiled, what it calls, its "beach car of the future". It's a two-seater with a fully electric, 8 hp motor, powered by a 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Called My Ami Buggy, it's designed for outdoorsy adventure and fun. The electric dune buggy is small and minimalistic with no doors. It echoes the beach car spirit of the 1960's and 1970's. Instead of an infotainment display, there is a small digital cluster and a cradle for a smart phone. There is storage space for items. The accessories in the EV are 3D printed. My Ami can hit a maximum speed of 30 mph and has a driving range of 43 miles. Under French law, it is not classified as a car, so anyone over 14 years old can drive it without a license.
