D A ILY INNOVATION BRIEF By Journalists Edward Kane & Marya nne Kane DREAM CHASER OPENS NEW ERA IN SPACE TRAVEL Source: Sierra Space Colorado-based Sierra Space's Dream Chaser is the world's 1st commercial spaceplane It's fully autonomous It's re-usable and designed for flexible missions Dream Chaser Tenacity, which focuses on transporting humans and cargo to space for orbit, and its companion cargo vehicle Shooting Star, just successfully completed rigorous testing at NASA Their next step is launch which will happen later this year The plan is for 7 missions to ferry supplies to the International Space Station Dream Chaser Tenacity will return to Earth from space within 11 to 15 hours and land horizontally like a plane Sierra Space has more than 30 years in the space tech industry Its Dream Chaser line of vehicles are pioneering spacecraft designed to revolutionize the way we travel to space.
