Here's what we know: Just interacting with your dog - or any friendly dog - by playing, feeding or grooming it has significant health benefits Brain scans on 30 adults show that it generates electrical activity in the brain that is associated with relaxation, enhanced creativity, concentration and attention The new research was done by scientists at Konkuk University in South Korea The human volunteers wore EEG electrodes to record electrical activity in their brains while they interacted with the research dog, a female poodle Among the findings: relaxed wakefulness when walking or playing with the dog and heightened concentration when grooming it The human participants also said they felt less
