  D AILY INNOVATION BRIEF                                                                                                          By Journalists Edward Kane & Maryanne Kane HYUNDAI'S CRAB DRIVING ELECTRIC CAR                                                     Source:  Hyundai South Korean automaker Hyundai has created a crab driving, electric vehicle that can parallel park into a tight parking space on autopilot This remarkable piece of automotive engineering can also drive sideways Hyundai just debuted its e-Corner system that enables parallel parking by the driver turning the wheel 90-degrees and activating a "crab walk" button to roll perpendicularly into the parking space It can also drive diagonally at a 45-degree angle for high speed quick changes in direction The new technology can also do a 360-degree turn without taking up more room than the size of the car Hyundai appears to have a big winner in this new technology, which it is continuing to develop.   DAILY INNOVATION BRIEF                                                                                                  By Journalists Edward Kane & Maryanne Kane NISSAN MOVES TO CUT PRICES ON EVS                                                                                      Source:  Nissan Japanese automaker Nissan is revolutionizing its powertrains for all electric and hybrid-electric vehicles to greatly reduce the cost The goal is to bring hybrid-electric vehicle prices down to the cost of gas-powered car by 2026 The powertrains being developed will be smaller, lighter and cut the cost of making the car by 30% by 2026 Costs are being reduced by sharing and the modularization of EV and e-POWER core components They've developed a 3-in-1 powertain prototype that modularizes the motor, inverter & reducer for EVs Also, a 5-in-1 prototype that additionally modularizes the generator & increaser for e-POWER vehicles They call it the X-in-1 approach which enables EVs

Pictures That Travel Way Back in Time Today, NASA released a picture of Stephan's Quintet, a group of 5 galaxies that are 290 million light-years away (Image #1).  The image has 150 million pixels and is composed of 1,000 separate image files.  It shows the galaxy in the center crashing through the group.  The second set of 2 images documents the death of a star in unprecedented
