Here are some key facts: The new University of Texas "Center For Generative AI" will be one of the largest generative AI computing centers in the world It's comprised of 600 Nvidia H100s GPUs or graphic processing units The AI system enables rapid math computations, ideal to train AI models It's targeting breakthroughs in the biosciences and healthcare Key Focus: besides health care, also computer vision, natural language processing, materials science and other key disciplines It will offer world-class AI research and AI infrastructure to a wide range of partners Key purpose: create generative AI solutions for pressing world problems
