  This New e-Bike Could Revolutionize City Commuting                                                       Source:  JackRabbit New, Green Travel Innovation San Diego, CA based mobility company JackRabbit has created a unique micro electric bike called Jack Rabbit.  The bike does not have traditional pedals so it's a cross between a bike and a scooter.  Jack Rabbit is for urban commuters. It is very lightweight and folds into a small shape for storage.  There is a 300 W geared motor in the bike's rear tire and a 158 Wh removable battery on top of the frame.  With the push of the throttle on the handlebars, it can speed up to 20 mph.  The range on a charge is 12 miles.  It's the invention of University of California at San Diego coach Tom Piszkin to enable better e-bike commuting and e-bike ownership for university students and city commuters.   College Student in India Has a Unique E-Bike Design                             Source: Dhanush with some of his Professors                                             Source:  News Agency ANI Entrepreneur with a "Brilliant" Green Idea In India, college student Dhanush Kumnar has designed an electric bicycle that runs on battery and solar power.  Dhanush is a student of BSc Physics at The American College in the city of Madurai, India.  His bike is being hailed as unique and "brilliant".  It is powered by a 24 volt and 26 ampere battery. With its solar panel, it feeds on energy from the sun. Driving on Sunshine The bike can drive at least 18.6 miles on a fully charged battery.  And, it can run up to 31 miles continuously with power from the solar panels supplementing the charged battery with energy.  The bike can hit speeds of 18.6 to 25 mph.  It can also be pedaled like a normal bike.   The Sport & The Cross                                                  Source:  Porsche High Performance E-Biking in Style Porsche just unveiled two new e-bikes with very impressive performance capabilities and jaw-dropping price tags.  The E-Bike Sport is priced at $10,700.  And, the E-Bike Cross is priced at $8,549.  They were unveiled alongside the new Porsche Taycan Cross Turimo.  The bikes' design styles were inspired by the car's aerodynamics. The Sport The bikes were built by Porsche's own design studio.  The Sport has a full suspension carbon frame and integrated front and rear lights.  Its Shimano EP8 mid-drive motor can support up to 25 km/h.  It is a road bike designed for everyday use. The Sport is road legal in most European countries with a top speed of 15.5 mph.  It has very large disc brakes to stop quickly if necessary. The bike weighs 48 pounds.   New, Urban Electric Commuting                                       Source:  Serial 1 Cycle Company New Form of Travel Harley Davidson's spinoff company Serial 1 Cycle Company has just introduced four new e-bike models.  There are three new models of the Rush/Cty speed e-bike priced from $4,399 to $4,999 and one new model of the $3,399 Mosh/City e-bike.  These bikes are getting rave reviews for innovation, styling and smooth riding.  Serial 1 is an independent electric bike brand, but Harley Davidson holds a minority stake in the company. Many former Harley engineers work there.  Serial 1 is the beneficiary of Harley Davidson's decades of top-of-the-line motorcycle technology.
