VW's New Electric Off-Roader ID Xtreme

  ID Xtreme                                                  Source:  Volkswagen Fun New Concept from Volkswagen Volkswagen has unveiled a powerful, fun, new electric off-roader, called the ID Xtreme.  It's a concept car that packs 382 hp and is all-electric with zero emissions, on and off-road driving.  The EV is based on the new 2023 ID 4.  But the Xtreme contains factory upgrades, new technologies and accessories to make it ready for Xtreme off-roading.  New Technologies The Xtreme has all-wheel drive and software modifications to achieve 382 hp.  The EV has rally, off-road 18-inch wheels and sits much higher above the ground than the ID 4 to traverse rugged terrain.  The Xtreme has huge, wide, front fenders, a crash bar and a modified front bumper to give it a rugged, road-less-traveled look...

Ford Maverick Pick-Up Ready For Off-Road

2023 Maverick Tremor                                                  Source:  Ford Taking On the Road Less Travelled  Ford is expanding its highly successful Maverick compact pickup truck lineup to include the Maverick Tremor edition.  It's a highly upgraded off-road package that will be available on the XLT and Lariat models starting this fall to make them much more serviceable off-road.  The price of the Maverick starts at $22,470.  The Tremor package adds $2,995 for a number of new technologies.  The additions include a new, all-wheel-drive system, special front and rear springs and dampers, a one-inch lift to bring it higher off the road and Trail Control. Lexus' Mystery Hydrogen Dune Buggy

 Lexus Teases an   Off-Roading, Fun, Hydrogen Vehicle Source:  Lexus Lexus Goes on the Road Less Travelled With a Mystery Vehicle Lexus is taking a drive in its new bronze colored, off road dune buggy on the road less travelled.  The new vehicle, dubbed the Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle concept, is powered by hydrogen.  Not only is the new hydrogen dune buggy unique for Lexus.  So too is the hydrogen powertrain that powers it.  Lexus is using compressed hydrogen to fuel an internal combustion engine.  The vehicle is not equipped with the traditional hydrogen fuel cell and electric motor.  Parent company Toyota has been experimenting with this new hydrogen technology for several years and has incorporated it into the new Lexus dune buggy. Futuristic Off-Road and Autonomous Buggy/SUV Source:  Audi Unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show Audi unveiled a revolutionary vehicle concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show today.  It's the Audi AI: Trail Quattro Concept.  The vehicle combines off-road capabilities with autonomous driving technology.  Plus, it's all electric. E-Vehicle The vehicle has a fully electric powertrain with four electric motors and a large, lithium-ion battery.  An e-motor is installed on each wheel and drives them directly.  The Audi AI has a battery range of 250 to 310 miles on a charge.
